Ether Blackfeather was a child shaped by the shadows of his mother. He was born from Cynthia Blackfeather (Human) the champion of ravens; and the traveling bard, Cadmur Daisycape (Elf). His mother lived in a place hostile to those who were not acclimated, so Cadmur raised him in the city of Waterdeep instead. His father tried to teach him the song of creation but his magic took to the more arcane nature of the weave instead. Once he became of age, the two drifted apart each guided by their own sense of adventure and wanderlust. Ether sharped his skills and became an invaluable spy for the more inconspicuous organizations, until he ran into Cazor. The scheming archmage saw his inherent knack for arcane magic, so he helped Ether draw out his potential, for a promise that one day he would be called upon to work for him. After his training had completed, he was drawn by the same wanderlust that had taken his father and he became an adventurer. During his travels he became an extraordinary Cryomancer (Cryomancers are mages who specialize in ice magic). He would collect treasures beyond one's wildest imaginations, he would also become a hero of legend, and his stories would be sung by bards up and down the Sword Coast. But one day he was hit with a profound home sickness. With no home to return to and no trace of his father, he sought after his mother; But who he found was not what he was expecting. The stoic sentinel of the Raven Queen was no mother, but a husk... a hollow of a woman. He was convinced that the Shadowfell was melting her identity away, and he would have to save her. But before he could make a move, she defeated him, single handedly. He would have no choice but to leave her there for now. He would return to rescue her. In time Cazor summoned him forth and realized the promise they had made. To this day, he plots to save his mother. And at the drop of a hat, he will leave Cazor's side to realize his own ambitions.
